LIFE AFTER BDC

Supporting Every Graduate

At BDC, we are proud to guide every student beyond their time with us — helping them take confident first steps into their chosen performing arts career.

Upon graduating our students typically follow one of three exciting career pathways:

Option One:

Further Training in Performing Arts

For students wishing to continue their professional performing arts training, BDC offers personalised support to help research, prepare, and audition for courses that align with each student’s career goals.

Our graduates have successfully gained places at prestigious performing arts colleges and dance academies across the UK and internationally — including Urdang Academy, Laine Theatre Arts, Guildford School of Acting (GSA), Bird College, London Studio Centre, and Millennium Performing Arts.

Whether pursuing musical theatre, dance, or acting, BDC ensures students are fully prepared for the next stage of their training journey

.

Option Two:

Professional Employment

Some students feel ready to enter the performing arts industry immediately after graduation.

BDC equips every graduate with a professional showreel, an industry-standard CV, and guidance in securing representation by an agent. These tools enable students to confidently attend auditions and gain employment across the dance, acting, and musical theatre sectors.

Our alumni are currently performing across the UK, Europe, and the USA, working in theatre, television, film, and live entertainment.

Option Three:

Higher or Alternative Education

For students who discover a passion for roles behind the scenes — such as production, choreography, or creative direction — BDC provides full support throughout the transition process.

Staff work closely with each student to explore higher education courses and alternative career paths, assisting with research, applications, and interviews.

Through our partnership with Shh! Talent, a leading performing arts agency, students receive professional career guidance and, where suitable, may be considered for representation. Shh! Talent currently represents many of today’s leading musical theatre and acting professionals.
